These wonderful peanuts are cultivated from a native Amazonian tribe called the Shuar. Their lands are located in the south of Ecuador, deep in the jungle a five day walk from the neareast town.
The Shuar land and culture is threatened by oil drilling, deforestation and agribusiness development.
Our purpose is to preserve their ecosystem, tradition and culture by giving them an alternative and viable sustainable source of income without sacrificing the strong cultural identity of the Shuar people.
